About Brisbane Kindy photos
My goal for each and every child I photograph is to capture a range of genuine expressions in the short time we have together. I will never ask children to say cheese -we all know the 'smiley' face they make when they say cheese. Instead I spend a few moments playing, singing (badly!) and joking with them.
I always aim to capture a few photos with my signature black background and also a couple more of them in the playground doing what they love best. I try to provide at least 10 unique images for every child, and deliver them in both colour and black&white.
If you have two or more children attending the centre, I photograph both individual portraits and a few of them together.
Due to very tight schedules and needing to photograph many children in the short time before they sleep, I do not photograph children/siblings who do not attend the centre. If you would like sibling photos including children who don't attend your centre, please contact me for more info on family sessions.
What should my child wear?
Tops that are light-coloured or bright-coloured are best. Tops with large graphics, logos, or print do not always photograph well. You can also think about a top that makes your child's eye colour pop!
If you would like your child to wear specific clothes please send them with a spare t-shirt over top to keep their photo clothes clean.
I will generally be at your centre, already photographing children when you arrive. I often find children are much happier being photographed once they have had a little time to settle in after being dropped off for the day. This is especially true if your child is a little sad to say goodbye when they are dropped off in the morning. Please don't worry. I will photograph them later in the morning once they have settled in and are happy for the day.
If your child is away for their scheduled photo day, please let me or centre staff know as soon as possible. When possible, I'm happy to schedule their photos for another day I'm working at your centre.
When can I see the photos?
If you have registered, I will email you your individual gallery password as soon as I have uploaded your photos.
Around 4 weeks after photo day, when I have finished uploading every ones photos, I will deliver the individual gallery passwords to your centre.
